Offering a hybrid work schedule, the full-time Fire Protection Engineer will review architectural designs, conduct construction inspections, and evaluate building conditions while supporting the National Institute of Health's initiatives. Key responsibilities Review architectural and engineering designs along with fire protection system shop drawings for over 50 buildings Conduct construction inspections and issue final occupancy permits Provide technical guidance using various NFPA codes and witness acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field 2+ years of general experience in Fire Protection Must have a valid Driver's License Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Veterans are welcome to apply
